C O N C O R D R E S O L U T I O N New View on Money Column #61 – Monday, October 20, 2008 Postscript: Dear Friends, These words pick up on my initial e-mail to many of you, introducing the idea of Rich's column, "New View on Money." As Rich embarks upon the next phase, 3 brief questions: 1) Among the growing readership are there individuals who would be interested in not only receiving the daily columns but in sending something back in turn, i.e., doing some important research – as simple or involved as your time and possibilities allow – on key pieces of this monetary puzzle? As you're discovering, the subject is as deep as it is broad. To do justice to the further unfolding of the work, colleagues will be key. An opportunity, no less, for those so moved to more fully engage the subject and, thereby, set the foundations stones, perhaps, for a new monetary institute? 2) While Rich's labors are freely offered, as I trust you can appreciate they require resources. In this respect, any contributions people may be moved to offer Rich are gratefully received. I'd be glad to provide more details: sbw1@surfglobal.net or 978-369-3733. 3) In this next phase of the work, Rich will be introducing more fully the "Concord Resolution", which, given the recent financial upheavals, is taking on a sharper focus. The resolution is being developed so as to be adapted and adopted by those so moved in communities across the nation – an opportunity to do something concrete that addresses the heart of the problem-challenge-OPPORTUNITY before us. In brief. Thank you for your consideration of these points. Sincerely, Stuart-Sinclair Weeks
